Early adoption of clear, structured frameworks for fintech and online gambling provided a stable environment, allowing us to identify and fill a gap in the iGaming payments market with Paymix Pro. Malta also serves as a natural bridge between various markets, allowing for proximity between regulators, service providers and clients across local, European and global spheres. This has significantly empowered us to grow and adapt our innovations to fit the payment needs of different players within the iGaming industry.

The challenges we face are shared by many fintech firms in Malta. Finding and retaining workforce with the right skillset, particularly in tech and compliance, has proven to be a challenge, as the industry has grown faster than the talent pool. Competition, on the other hand, while healthy, is reminding us that we cannot remain complacent. It’s a race – other names are fighting for the same business, and we must constantly adapt and improve in order to satisfy better the need for accessible banking and payment solutions.
