Malta is set to host the Rolex Middle Sea Race 2025, one of the world’s premier offshore yacht races, attracting over 120 yachts from across the globe. The fleet will depart from the Grand Harbour and navigate an anticlockwise route around Sicily.

• Coastal Yacht Race: Wednesday, 15th October 2025, 09:00 – Marsamxett Harbour
• Rolex Middle Sea Race Start: Saturday, 18th October 2025, 11:00 – Grand Harbour

The race start, between Upper Barrakka Gardens in Valletta and Fort St Angelo in Birgu, is accompanied by cannon fire from the Saluting Battery, with seven yacht classes launching at 10-minute intervals. It is considered one of the most photogenic race starts worldwide.

Beyond the race itself, the event will spill onto the streets and waterfronts, turning Valletta and Birgu into a hub of live performances, historic re-enactments, and festive maritime pageantry:

• Valletta: In Guardia Re-enactment Troupe march
• Birgu: Jackson Pipe Band, Bormla Scouts parade, and In Guardia Reenactors atop Fort St Angelo

For those seeking an elevated perspective, Heritage Malta is offering exclusive access to Fort St Elmo in Valletta and Fort St Angelo in Birgu, providing premium race viewing alongside historic insights. Fort St Angelo’s VIP area (10:00–12:00).

Tickets are priced at €35 for adults and €30 for Heritage Malta members
