SuperCharger Ventures, the world’s leading EdTech accelerator, has officially launched its fifth and largest cohort in Malta, welcoming 19 innovative startups from 11 different countries.

The new cohort marks a significant milestone in the accelerator’s mission to establish Malta as a global hub for education technology, a goal strongly supported by its partnership with Malta Enterprise.

The selection process for Cohort 5.0 was highly competitive, with a record 620 applications received, indicating a substantial increase in interest, particularly from the LATAM and North American markets.

The selected companies represent a new level of maturity for the program, with an average Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) of $500,000 and some participants generating up to $5 million in ARR.

Collectively, these startups have already impacted over two million users worldwide.

This cohort is also the first to include three Malta-based companies: Study First Europe, a platform guiding international students; Klassifi, which provides AI services for the accountancy sector; and Verbivore, a developer of interactive, story-driven language-learning experiences. Their inclusion underscores the growth and potential of the local startup ecosystem.

Participants in the 12-week accelerator program gain access to a global network of mentors, strategic partners, and investors. The program is designed to help founders scale their businesses, refine their go-to-market strategies, and explore international expansion.

Through the collaboration with Malta Enterprise, participating companies are also eligible for various support measures, including grants, soft loans, and relocation assistance, further strengthening Malta’s appeal as a launchpad for global ventures.

Adding to the growing ecosystem, SuperCharger Ventures has also begun the process of raising Malta’s largest private fund dedicated to EdTech, a project being led by Alexander Aabol. This initiative aims to provide further capital and support for high-potential startups emerging from the accelerator and within the region.

The startups participating in Cohort 5.0 are:

• Finanz (Italy): A personal finance super-app that helps users learn, save, and invest.
• Hexitime (UK): A digital timebanking platform to mobilise organisational knowledge.
• SpacePoint (United Arab Emirates): An EdTech startup teaching the fundamentals of satellite development with its “SatKit”.
• Ederest (Morocco): A hands-on platform that teaches complex business software like SAP through interactive simulations.
• Zooza (Slovakia): A software platform for automating bookings, payments, and management for children’s activity providers.
• Zenotech (Turkey): A hybrid EdTech platform combining AI learning assistants with expert tutors for university and international exams.
• Edumentors (UK): An online tutoring platform connecting students with vetted tutors from top-tier universities.
• Notey (United States): An AI/ML music education gaming platform that uses any real instrument or voice as a controller.
• Volta Health (United States): A tech platform automating regulated insurance and healthcare compliance processes for higher education institutions.
• Gamlytics (United States): A platform for schools to manage and grow their gaming programs, turning gaming into a tool for learning and skill development.
• byteEDGE (Singapore): An AI-powered knowledge performance system designed to build workforce capability at scale.
• SchoolTry (Sweden): A unified digital platform that automates and simplifies school operations, management, and learning.
• Ucademy (Spain): An online learning platform designed to help students succeed in competitive university entrance and public sector exams.
• eBombo (United States): A one-stop-shop digital platform for organizing and managing corporate events.
• Yanfaa (Egypt): Arabic subscription-based platform with hundreds of creative, marketing, business, and languages classes all taught by professionals.
• Study First Europe (Malta): A service that guides international students to educational opportunities in Europe.
• Klassifi (Malta): An operating system for accountancy firms that streamlines operations and client management.
• Verbivore (Malta): An EdTech startup creating interactive, story-driven language learning experiences.
