Malta’s financial watchdog, the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA), and FinanceMalta, the national promotional agency for Malta's financial services sector, have jointly launched Malta Finance Week 2027, a new flagship national event for Malta's financial services sector.

The inaugural Malta Finance Week will take place from 13th – 15th October 2027. It will bring together regulators, industry leaders, policymakers, investors, academics and international stakeholders for a week of high-level panels, networking and thought leadership focused on the future of finance. 

The event will showcase Malta’s financial services ecosystem and promote the jurisdiction as a credible, innovative and internationally connected financial centre. It will facilitate dialogue on the future of the sector, strengthen collaboration between the public and private sectors, and create opportunities for international engagement. 

The MFSA says that the programme will be built around six themes: Innovation and digital transformation; sustainable finance; capital markets and investment; FinTech and emerging technologies; regulatory excellence and resilience; and international competitiveness.
