Malta continues to stand out as a dynamic and forward-looking business destination, following a successful trade mission to Japan led by TradeMalta in conjunction with Malta’s participation at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
Running from 14th to 22nd July, the mission brought together Maltese enterprises and Government entities, with a focus on education and training, a growing sector in Malta’s economy.
The initiative served not only to promote bilateral ties with Japan but also to reinforce Malta’s international image as a hub for innovation, quality education and global business.
Malta’s presence at Expo 2025 was marked by vibrant participation during Education Week, themed “Learning and Playing,” which explored new trends in future-ready education systems.
A key moment during the week was Malta Day at the Expo on 17th July, where the country’s cultural and economic strengths were on full display.
The Japan–Malta Business Forum, held the following day, featured a keynote speech by Deputy Prime Minister Hon. Ian Borg, who invited Japanese stakeholders to explore Malta as a partner in trade, investment and innovation.
TradeMalta’s initiative enabled delegates to engage in B2B meetings and high-level networking events, laying the groundwork for future partnerships across education, enterprise, and international trade.
TradeMalta is a public-private partnership between the Government of Malta and the Malta Chamber of Commerce, originally established to support Malta-based companies in expanding internationally.
