Malta International Airport plc recorded 990,556 passenger movements in September 2025, marking a strong close to the summer travel season. The busiest day of the month was 4th September, when 36,979 passengers passed through the terminal.
According to the company’s announcement, aircraft movements increased by 7.2 per cent year-on-year to reach 6,013, while the seat load factor rose slightly by 0.5 percentage points, standing at a robust 90.7 per cent.
The United Kingdom remained Malta’s top market, accounting for 22.3 per cent of total passenger movements during the month. Italy followed closely with 19.6 per cent, ahead of Germany (8.1 per cent), Poland (7.1 per cent), and France (6.3 per cent).
