The Malta Employers’ has launched the EU Funding Helpdesk, a new service designed to help businesses have better access to funding opportunities.
The EU Funding Helpdesk functions as a “comprehensive one-stop-shop” for information, guidance, and support in relation to local and EU funding. Its primary role is to simplify access to the often complex landscape of EU and national funding opportunities by providing clear, reliable, and up-to-date information.
The Helpdesk aims to support businesses in their pursuit of local and EU funding opportunities, encouraging uptake and challenging barriers. It shall “seek to empower members through the provision of information, capacity building and direct assistance,” according to a statement.
By serving as a reference point, the Helpdesk not only increases awareness of available opportunities but also empowers members to successfully access and benefit from the funding instruments designed to support their growth and development.
What is Project Unlock?
During the press conference on Friday (today), members of MEA also spoke about Project Unlock – an Erasmus+ project coordinated by the Malta Employers’ Association, in partnership with Cross Cultural International Foundation (CCIF Malta) and Check-In Association (Portugal).
The aim of this project was to address a clear labour market need: helping SMEs gain access to the funding opportunities available to them. In this regard, two EU Funding Helpdesks were set up, one within the Malta Employers Association (in Malta) and one with Check-in Association (in Portugal). Each target different audiences and offers a mixof different methods of support, based on their audiences’ different needs.
Following the conclusion of the project, the EU Helpdesks shall continue to operate on a permanent basis.
