Light & Wonder has relocated and expanded its offices in Sliema, Malta, GamingMalta said.
The company, whose head office is in Las Vegas in the USA, recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony at its Malta offices. Malta serves as a scaled operational hub for the company’s iGaming business, supporting teams across technology, product, compliance and commercial functions.
“Expanding our presence in Malta reflects our continued investment in regulated iGaming markets and in the talent that supports our global growth,” said Simon Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of Light & Wonder, iGaming,
The event was attended Ivan Filletti, CEO of GamingMalta, representatives from GamingMalta, the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), and Light & Wonder customers and partner studios.
“This continued investment and expansion by a global leader like Light & Wonder reflects the ambition of Vision 2050, Malta’s national long term strategy, which positions gaming as a key pillar for sustainable growth, talent development and innovation,” the CEO of GamingMalta, Ivan Filletti, said.
The investment strengthens Light & Wonder’s iGaming operations across EMEA and globally. It supports continued growth in regulated markets through expanded teams, talent acquisition and enhanced operational capabilities, a statement by GamingMalta reads.
GamingMalta said that Light & Wonder continues to invest in its operations in Malta, and that active recruitment is underway across a range of roles as the company scales its iGaming capabilities.
