International Aerospace Coatings (IAC), a California-based aircraft servicing firm, is setting up a Maltese base and intend to turn it into a world-class facility for aircraft design and painting.
IAC are setting up shop at the Safi Aviation Park following the recent eviction of Dutch firm Aviation Cosmetics Malta (ACM). As part of its lease, IAC has agreed to retain all 58 workers who were previously employed by ACM and plans to hire 32 new ones.
“It has been an intensive few weeks and quite a collective effort to reach this point, but it is truly good to be here,” IAC CEO Martin O’Connell said yesterday.
“Establishing our presence in Malta is a significant milestone for our global expansion. Malta's strategic location allows us to offer an even more convenient hub, further strengthening our long partnerships with our customers.”
