FinanceMalta’s upcoming annual financial services conference is set to mark a milestone this year, with a record 45 firms confirmed as sponsors. The event, which has grown into one of the sector’s most established platforms, will take place on 19–20 November at Hilton Malta.
Now in its 18th edition, the conference brings together regulators, policymakers, and private sector leaders to discuss the future of Malta’s financial services industry. Sponsorship numbers have risen steadily, up from 38 in 2024.
The surge in backing comes at a time when Malta has climbed significantly in international rankings. The country recently advanced 50 places in the 2025 Greenfield FDI Performance Index, reaching 33rd worldwide. The jurisdiction has also been shortlisted for the European Captive Awards, alongside established centres such as Guernsey, the Isle of Man, and Luxembourg.
Themed Redefining Finance: A Quality-Driven Future for Malta, this year’s programme will explore key themes including fintech development, ESG integration, and skills in financial services.
While the sponsorship list spans a broad range of players, Calamatta Cuschieri Moneybase plc is serving as Diamond Sponsor, with Dominion supporting the networking segment. Platinum-level sponsors include AQA Capital Ltd, Finco Trust Services, Bank of Valletta, the Malta Stock Exchange, LifeStar Insurance, Systemic, Mediterranea Capital Partners, Investors Europe (Malta) Ltd, and Audentia Capital.
Observers note that such broad-based backing reflects market confidence in Malta’s financial services ecosystem. However, given the island’s limited scale, industry leaders have emphasised that Malta’s competitive advantage lies in its capacity for collaboration and innovation, rather than size.
