Hard Rock Hotel Malta has officially opened its doors in St George’s Bay following a €350 million investment by db Group.
The five-star hotel marks Hard Rock’s first hotel in Malta, features 397 rooms and resulted in the creation of hundreds of jobs across hospitality, food and beverage, wellness and other specialised roles.
It includes 11 swimming pools, more than 10 restaurants, bars, lounges and clubs, a 3,800sqm wellness and fitness facility and a 466sqm ballroom, and houses the new Hard Rock Cafe St Julian’s.
The project forms part of db Group’s wider development in St George’s Bay, which also includes the recently opened St George’s Mall and the Ora luxury residences.
"We are thrilled to see our vision for Hard Rock Hotel Malta come to life as part of the wider development of St. George's Bay," said db Group CEO Robert Debono.
"We can't wait to show guests the rich culture and incredible views that Malta is famous for, combined with Hard Rock's iconic, music led experience in hospitality.”
Hard Rock International Senior Vice President of Hotel Operations John Rees described the hotel as a significant investment in Malta and said the franchise is proud to be part of this chapter.
Meanwhile, db Group is expanding its relationship with the Hard Rock brand internationally. It has established an office in Ras Al-Khaimah in the UAE, where it is planning another Hard Rock Hotel and branded residences development scheduled to open in 2029.
