Final preparations are underway at the Ta’ Qali Concert Area ahead of the 7th edition of SummerDaze Malta, as the island prepares to welcome one of the most anticipated international music events on Malta’s cultural and tourism calendar.

Malta Tourism Authority Chairman Charles Mangion and Head of Unit Malta National Park Ta’ Qali, Jason Micallef visited the concert venue alongside the organisers to review the final stages of preparation for the two-night festival, which will take place next week at Ta’ Qali Concert Area. This year’s edition will feature headline performances by global music stars Lewis Capaldi on 11th August and Calvin Harris on 15th August, complemented by a line-up of talented local artists.

Over the years, SummerDaze Malta has established itself as a key event in Malta’s international events portfolio, strengthening the country’s reputation as a vibrant, modern destination for music, entertainment, and unique visitor experiences.

The festival’s diverse line-up, combining some of the biggest names in global music with local talent, is expected to attract thousands of attendees while showcasing Malta’s ability to host large-scale international productions.

Dr Mangion highlighted the importance of the collaboration between the Government of Malta, the Malta Tourism Authority, and the organisers in promoting the Maltese Islands to audiences across international markets.

“SummerDaze Malta is much more than an international concert. It represents an investment in positioning Malta as a tourism destination, which increases our visibility overseas and attracts visitors who seek memorable and authentic experiences. Events of this calibre contribute towards our vision of developing a sustainable tourism sector while generating opportunities for the Maltese economy and local businesses,” Dr Mangion said.

He added that the continued success of the festival reflects the strength of the partnership between all stakeholders involved. 

Head of Unit of the Malta National Park in Ta’ Qali, Mr Micallef added: "We are very satisfied with how the different large spaces created at the Ta' Qali National Park are making it possible to host major international events simultaneously across various zones. A clear example is the Concert Area, which offers extensive, unique facilities in our country, alongside all the surrounding green spaces."

The MTA Chairman also noted that the festival plays an important role in attracting visitors who travel specifically to experience the event, while further enhancing Malta’s appeal as a destination. 

The organisers of SummerDaze Malta said that this year’s edition once again raises the standard, with a world-class line-up featuring some of the biggest names in the global music industry. The event further cements Malta’s growing reputation as a destination capable of delivering high-profile international productions while offering visitors an exceptional experience.
