Five-star Maltese hotels earned an average of €219.30 per night from guests in 2025, up from €210.10 in 2024.
For four-star hotels, the average daily rate (ADR) stood at €115.20, up from €110.10 in 2024 .
Three-star hotels achieved an average daily rate of €77.10 in Q4 2025, 4 per cent above the rate achieved in Q4 2024.
This data emerged from a survey commissioned by Deloitte for the Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association (MHRA) in a year where Malta registered a record-breaking 4.02 million tourist arrivals.

The survey found that occupancy rates at five and four-star hotels edged up throughout most of the year.
Five-star occupancy levels over 2025 stood at an average of 71 per cent, up slightly from 69.6 per cent in 2024, while four-star occupancy levels stood at 82.6 per cent, up from 80.5 per cent.
Occupancy levels in the fourth quarter rose from 65.7 per cent to 68.9 per cent for five-star hotels, but dipped from 77.5 per cent to 73.8 per cent for four-stars.
The average occupancy for three-star hotels in the fourth quarter reached 77.8 per cent, but the MHRA cautioned that these figures should be interpreted with caution due to the limited participation of three-star operators in the survey.
