Over the past year, since being appointed Managing Director of Corporate Service Provider (CSP) Capservices Limited in September 2024, Daniel Bezzina has directed his attention to bolstering the enterprise’s offering, incentivised by what he sees as the island’s strategic location and its beneficial regulatory framework.
“The past year marked a turning point in how we communicate and position ourselves. We introduced a structured business development function, a content-driven marketing plan that includes package specific services and upgraded digital processes for client management and communication,” he explains. Underpinning these efforts, he says, “our ethos is simple yet powerful: precision, trust, and partnership.”
Capservices was authorised as a CSP by the MFSA in 2019. Today, Mr Bezzina has inherited the reins, with the company having evolved from “a traditional Corporate Service Provider into a strategically driven advisory firm that supports both local and international clients across multiple regulated sectors,” he explains.
“Our role has expanded beyond company formation and administration to include ongoing governance, compliance, book-keeping, and corporate structuring for complex international entities. Essentially, we’ve matured our operation. We’ve significantly strengthened both our business development capabilities and our digital infrastructure. This allows us to effectively scale our operations while rigorously maintaining that boutique, highly-personalised quality of service that our clients depend on and value the most,” he says.

The company’s diversification and consolidation have been spurred by Mr Bezzina’s years within the financial services sector, having worked as an auditor and accountant before joining Capservices – part of the international Capricorn Group – first as its financial controller in January 2024, before his later appointment as Managing Director.
“This for me was a leap of faith and a big move outside of my comfort zone. The change to leading a firm rather than just managing a team of people, is exciting but scary at the same time. On a personal level I have evolved and will continue evolving into becoming a business leader and a motivator”, he says, adding that his goal is to grow “into a person that the team can trust, look up to and that shares the same vision.”
For Mr Bezzina, at the heart of Capservices’ offering is its place within the Capricorn Group, a well-established global network that has been active in family office services, venture capital services, regulatory hosting services and corporate services since 1994. It was, indeed, “this international reach that had attracted me to the post in the first place,” he attests, adding that the alliance was forged organically through “shared ownership and aligned values.” As a result, Capricorn, which boasts over 450 employees across the UK, the EU, Dubai and South Africa, has positioned Capservices to offer a gamut of corporate services to both Maltese and foreign players.
“We all believe in providing a premium, relationship-focused service, and by formally integrating, we were able to create a strategic partnership that ensures our clients have trusted access to this global capability. This group membership gives us a unique, strategic advantage over standalone service providers. We can seamlessly draw on that wide network of professionals across different jurisdictions and specialised disciplines. For our clients, this means they benefit from a boutique-style, personal corporate service backed by heavy-weight, global reach. We’re not just a Malta firm; we are a gateway to global solutions, providing multi-jurisdictional expertise and cross-sector insights that extend well beyond Malta’s borders,” Mr Bezzina notes.

Pivoting the conversation more specifically to Capservices’ Malta-based operations, the Managing Director underscores the crucial role played by Malta’s “central location within the EU”, its “robust regulatory framework,” and the country’s “highly skilled professional ecosystem.”
Elaborating, Mr Bezzina explains that Malta’s “favourable tax regime, combined with extensive double taxation treaties, makes it an ideal jurisdiction for international business structuring and investment. For us, operating in Malta means being at the intersection of EU credibility and global business flexibility, a balance that appeals to clients seeking both compliance and efficiency. Moreover, Malta’s strong reputation across regulated sectors such as iGaming, shipping, financial services, and fintech aligns perfectly with our client portfolio. This allows us to position Capservices as both a local expert and an international gateway, providing clients with confidence, stability, and strategic advantage in a competitive global landscape.”
Further describing the firm’s focus in 2025, Mr Bezzina has attested to Capservices’ empowerment of its people, in a move “toward collaborative planning, where every team member contributes to strategic initiatives, from content creation to process optimisation. This approach has already improved both efficiency and brand visibility. The team is the crux of the business. I am a massive team player, and everything revolves around the team. What makes Capservices great is having the right people in place with the right attitude. Our team is small but highly skilled, each member bringing deep industry knowledge and a shared commitment to quality. We operate under a collaborative culture where each client benefits from collective expertise rather than isolated execution,” he explains.
Part of the team’s strength lies in the continuous professional development undertaken at the CSP. “We continuously upskill, whether through internal training, participation in industry events, or content-driven thought leadership, ensuring that we remain aligned with Malta’s evolving regulatory landscape. This allows us to provide tailored, accurate, and timely service that consistently exceeds client expectations,” Mr Bezzina continues.
Nonetheless, attracting and retaining talent still remains a challenge, particularly in the context of intense competition over resources. “The HR aspect of the business is one of the most challenging aspects that we have been facing recently, which is the case throughout the rest of the industry. From experience, what plays a big part in attracting talent and also retaining it, to a certain extent, is our international brand and reputation coming from the Capricorn Family.”
Moreover, he continues, flexibility remains crucial when onboarding new human resources, with expectations having shifted over the past few years. “Today we live a fast life and some flexibility works wonders, so either working from home, or attending personal appointments and making up for the time is accommodated”, he explains.
The other main challenge over the past few months, the Managing Director continues, has remained the necessity to stand out “in a competitive and tightly regulated environment, particularly when differentiating our boutique approach from larger providers. However, by combining targeted marketing, thought leadership, and consistent service quality, we’re steadily converting this challenge into a strength,” he explains.
As a result of such flexibility and its people-oriented approach, the firm is able to meet its objectives of providing a service that “prioritises personal connection and accessibility.” Clients reap the benefits of such an ethos where they are “treated as a long-term partner, not a transaction. We tailor every engagement around the client’s structure, objectives, and jurisdictional needs, ensuring the advice we provide is both practical and strategically relevant,” Mr Bezzina says.
Indeed, he insists, what differentiates Capservices from its competition is the “ability to combine hands-on service with institutional-level precision, delivering the kind of responsiveness and accuracy that larger firms often struggle to match”.
Looking ahead, the strategy at Capservices remains towards “measured growth through digitalisation, partnership, and expertise”, Mr Bezzina attests. “We’re investing in technology that streamlines client onboarding and compliance management, strengthening our marketing presence, and expanding into new international markets through the Capricorn Group network. At the same time, we will continue nurturing our boutique culture, maintaining the client-first ethos, trust-based relationships, and knowledge-driven advisory strength that define Capservices. Our goal is to build a long-term legacy as Malta’s most trusted boutique CSP, capable of combining precision with personality,” he states, concluding.
